MacNeil, Joseph Leo, age 78, of Bracebridge, Ontario, and formerly of Giants Lake, passed away on August 23, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Joe was the son of the late John F. and Josie (MacIsaac) MacNeil.

Joe is survived by siblings, Molly Morrissey, Antigonish; Jim MacNeil, Quispamsis, New Brunswick; Anne Restoule, Giants Lake; and Fiona (Rodney) MacLean, Lower South River and many nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia, as well as the Blake family in Ontario and Joe’s friend, Liz Vandenberg, from Bracebridge.

Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife Louise (Blake) MacNeil.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held September 16 at Muskoka Curling and Golf Club from 1-4 pm.
