It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Hailey Marie Benoit, age 24.

Born at St Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Susanne Benoit-Smith (Jeffrey) and the late Michael Benoit.

Hailey loved dancing in the rain, spending time with her friends, the beach, swimming, writing, music, helping others, and hanging out with her sister. She had such a beautiful heart.

Hailey’s nephew, Gabe, meant the world to her; and she meant the world to him. She was the best auntie to her little boy. He will miss their bath parties, pizza making, back scratching and Shrek movie nights. She will be so deeply missed by her favourite little boy.

Besides her mother and stepfather, she is survived by her brothers, Keagan (Britney), Truro; and Liam (Kayley), Calgary; her beloved sister, Jayda, Antigonish; her two step sisters, Cassandra and Aurora, both of Ontario; her nephew and pride and joy, Gabriel; her grandparents, Jimmy and Linda Benoit; Pomquet; and Arteen Benoit, Pomquet; her two special aunts, Jaimie(Dave), Pomquet; Leah (Mike), Trenton; Godchildren, Serenity, Amari, Nicole, Jaycelie and soon to be born Sumer Mae; her many cousins, aunts, uncles, and chosen nieces and nephew; and her dear Quinny girl.

Besides her father, she is predeceased by her grandfather, Leo Benoit, and her father’s birth parents, Lorne and Beverly Flavin.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish.  Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11:00am in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet, with Reverend Dennis Lamey presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.

In Memoriam, donations to The Jordan Myles Foundation or clothes can be donated to the Opportunity Shop on Main Street, Antigonish.
