MacIsaac, Florence Christina Marie of Georgeville, Antigonish Co., NS, died February 25th, 2025.

She was born on June 17th, 1933, to Archie and Eunice MacIsaac of Georgeville.

She worked as a cook at St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish. She made that drive in the wee hours of the morning for decades, in all kinds of weather, until she retired.

Marie had a big heart and a genuine interest in people. She had no issue with telling everyone what she thought of them, but she would also listen to their problems with empathy. She will be remembered for her amazing pies, all the warm socks and mittens she gifted over the years and her fondness of Skip Bo, fudge and a little Crown Royal. Marie was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

She is pre deceased by her big black dog, Jake, her sister, Joan Doucette (Alex); her brothers Allie MacIsaac (Charlotte) and Bernie MacIsaac; infant sister Marcella, nephew Joey Doucette and foster brothers, Nick and George Fanning.

She is survived by her biological children in ON, James Lynch (Marg), Mary-Kay Kerber-French (Dan), Tony Burghardt (Kim); by her nieces & nephews in Sault Ste Marie, ON: Debbie Nicholas (Randy), Don Doucette (Jane), Denise Prpich (Brian) and Darlene Doucette, and in Georgeville, NS, Stuart MacIsaac, Yvonne MacIsaac, Archie MacIsaac (Helen) and in Big Pond, NS, Tracy MacIsaac (Bernie).

We want to thank all the amazing staff at Mary’s Court, the cafeteria workers, maintenance, the cleaning staff and the nursing staff. Though she wanted to be in her house, you made Mary’s Court a home for her and made her feel so cared for. She respected the work you all did and valued the friendships she made there.

The Funeral Mass will be Monday March 3rd , 10:00 am, in St. George's Church, Georgeville, with Rev. Andrew Boyd presiding. Reception to be held at the North Shore Fire Hall after. Burial at St. George’s Cemetery, Georgeville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the SPCA. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
