WALLACE, Anthony "Tony", Georgeville -  June 28, 1973 – July 24, 2025

It is with deep sadness, we the family, announce the passing of Tony Wallace in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on July 24, 2025.

Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Patsy (Heffernan) Wallace and the late John Wallace. Besides his father, John, he was predeceased by his daughter Morgan Bray.

Besides his mother, Patsy,  left to mourn are his brother, Jeff (Kelly); sister, Tanya; niece Sarah, nephew Ryan and son-in-law Tommy Bray.

Tony worked in Fort McMurray for many years.  He always returned home to fish with his family.  He took pride in the boat and the fishing gear.  Unfortunately, his love for the lobster fishery came to an end in May 2024 when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Tony accepted his illness with grace and dignity.

Tony was thankful for his many friends and neighbors who visited, took him for drives, brought food, telephone calls and many gestures of kindness.  Special thanks to the Arisaig Lobster Fishermen for their support.

There are no words to describe the outstanding care he received from Palliative Care at St. Martha’s Hospital.  The amazing staff made his many visits to the hospital as pleasant as possible.

Special thanks must be given to Jamie, Cathy, Dr. Chi, Dr. Gillis, Dr. Rice and Dr. Farrel.  They all helped Tony and his mother, Patsy, through his final journey.

Respecting Tony’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  Funeral Mass will be held in St. George’s Church, Georgeville on Wednesday, July 30th at 10:00 am with Father Andrew Boyd presiding.  He will be laid to rest in St. George’s Cemetery, Georgeville.  Online condolences: www. clcurry.com.
