It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father. Throughout his life, Bev was known for his unwavering dedication to family, friends, and community. He spent more than 35 years working at St. Francis Xavier University, where he built lasting friendships and touched many lives through his kindness, loyalty, and quiet sense of humour.

Bev had a lifelong love of sports and rarely missed a game or chance to talk about them. His happiest moments were spent on the golf course, especially during men's night with the same cherished foursome he proudly golfed with for more than 40 years. Together with his dear friends Peter Rawding and Fred Bell, he enjoyed decades of laughter, stories, good-natured competition, and countless rounds of golf. Their weekly Wednesday night gatherings at the pub became a cherished tradition and a testament to friendships that stood the test of time.

He was also a devoted and passionate fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, spending a lifetime cheering them on and firmly believing each season might finally be the one. His loyalty to the Leafs was a testament to his optimism, patience, and ability to endure disappointment with grace.

He completed daily newspaper crosswords and countless crossword books with a speed and accuracy that suggested he had either an extraordinary vocabulary or a direct line to the puzzle editor. Family members quickly learned that challenging Bev's word knowledge was usually a losing battle.

Of all the roles Bev held in life, being a grandfather was among his favorites. He rarely missed a game, debate, recital, or event, proudly following the lives and accomplishments of his grandchildren. He cherished every chance to visit, have a conversation, share a story, or make them laugh. His grandchildren could always count on his unwavering support, genuine interest in their lives, and the warmth and humour that made every visit special. His love for them was limitless, and they knew it.  Nothing made him prouder than watching them grow into the remarkable people they are today.

He was predeceased by his parents, Glendene and Jack; his brothers, John and Abby; his sister-in-law, Ailene; and his treasured granddaughter, Emily, whose memory remained close to his heart.

Left to celebrate his life and carry forward his legacy are his devoted wife, Geri, his partner and best friend through life's joys and challenges; his brother, Jim; and his sister, Judy, who held a special place in his heart. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, Terri (Pat Nolan), Kyle (Josette), and Chad (Isabelle); his beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Taylor, Justin, Jesse, Caitlyn, and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews. The love he shared with his family was returned many times over, and his influence will continue to be felt in the lives of those who knew him best.

Above all, Bev will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to family and friends, his dedication, his generosity, and his ability to bring people together. Whether sharing a laugh, offering support, debating sports, solving a crossword, or cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines, he made the lives of those around him richer.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and countless stories that will continue to be shared for years to come. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him.

The family extends its sincere thanks to his personal care workers, Kaylea, Keri, and Danni, whose care, kindness, and friendship meant so much to him and to all of us. We are also profoundly grateful to the paramedics, nurses, and doctors of St. Martha's Regional Hospital for the compassion, comfort, and exceptional care they provided throughout his journey. Their support brought great comfort to our family during a difficult time, and we will always be thankful.

At his request, there will be no wake or funeral.  A private service will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
