Currie, Terrance MacSweeny, 86, Havre Boucher, Antigonish County
passed away peacefully on November 20, 2007 in St. Martha’s
Regional Hospital, Antigonish with his family by his side.
Born in Port Morien, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Nolan) Currie.
Terrance worked at Imperial Oil in Dartmouth for twenty-three years, retiring to Havre Boucher in 1967. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a P.T. Instructor and Pilot Bombardier. He loved dancing as well as playing cards and bingo.
He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Corinna (Bonvie); children: Terrance Jr.(Joan), Dartmouth; Charlie, Havre Boucher; Allan (Linda), Pomquet; Joseph (Donna), Havre Boucher; Mary (Ronnie), Pelrine, Havre Boucher; Michael, Glen Air Estates; sisters: Theresa Doyle, Barrie, Ont.; Utah Norris, Hamilton, Ont.; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by six children: Marie, Margaret, Rose Marie, Corinna, David and Vincent; sisters: Marjorie, Jennie. Cleophus and Audrey; brothers: Charlie, Gussie and John.
Visitation will be in St. Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral will be held in St. Paul’s Church on Friday at 10:00 am with Reverend Robert MacNeil presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Parish Building Fund.
