GRIFFIN, M. GERTRUDE, 78, Greenwold Manor, Antigonish, formerly of Natick, Mass. died January 16, 2012 at her residence.

Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Hugh J. and Elizabeth (MacEachern) MacInnis.

Gertrude enjoyed many activities, including shopping, card games, bingo and traveling.

She is survived by two sons: Wayne H. Griffin, Millville, Mass. and Darrell G. Griffin, Franklin, Mass.; brothers, John Duncan and Robert Augustus; sisters; Hughena MacInnis, Margaret MacInnis and Barbara MacEachern; five grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends in both Canada and the United States.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Griffin, Sr. and son Robert A. Griffin, Jr.; sister, Jean Cameron.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be held in St. Ninian's Cathedral on Saturday at 10:30 am . Burial at a later date.
