Reddick, William Cranswick "Bill", 89 of North Grant, Antigonish Co. died on January 19th, 2012 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Guysborough Co. he was a son of the late Arthur and Laura (Borden) Reddick.
Bill was a member of St. James United Church, Antigonish, where he was a member of the Men's Club as well as a life member of the Antigonish Lions Club. Bill was a veteran of WWII, having served in both France and Germany and was a life member of Arras Branch 59 Royal Canadian Legion. Bill worked mainly as a school bus driver and also drove truck in his early years. Bill was a true outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed a hand of cards and bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laura (Johnson); 6 daughters; Deborah, Halifax; Connie (Merle) Pelley, North Grant; Darlene (Nelson) Pelley, Halifax; Maxine (Ernie) MacLellan, Halifax; Joanne (Pat O'Sullivan), London ON; Nanette, Brampton ON.; five sons: Everett (Michelle) Grand Prairie AB; Donnie (Hattie), North Grant; Ralph, London ON; Martin, Grand Prairie, AB; David, London ON; 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brothers Alonzo (Sonya), Lincolnville, Cecil (Bessie), Boylston; sisters; Bessie Mos, London, ON; Annabelle (Clyke) London ON; Mary Alice (Vernon) Brereton, London ON.
He was predeceased by a great great grandson in infancy; brothers: Fred, Gerry, Joe, Alfred, Harry, and Ambrose; sisters: Marion and Mary.
Visitation will be held Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday2-4 and 7-9 pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral service Monday at 2:00pm in St. James United Church, Antigonish, Rev. Peter Smith presiding. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
