Patrick Curry


 Born and raised in Antigonish, NS, Patrick is a 4th generation funeral director, having been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2002.  Patrick is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University (Class of ’97) and graduated from the Funeral Service Education program at the Kingstec Campus of the Nova Scotia Community College in Kentville, NS in 2000. From there, he spent five years working with Kelly Funeral Homes in Ottawa, two years managing the Winchester & Chesterville Funeral Homes in Ontario, and has been back in his native Antigonish since April of 2008 in the family funeral home. He has served on the board of directors of the Funeral Service Association of  Nova Scotia, is Past President of the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce and has participated in amateur theatre in Antigonish.  He is married to Kim (Daley), and they have a daughter Aibhlinn.

Joanne Curry


 Joanne was born in Erinville, Guysborough County. She and Chuck married on June 19, 1971 and have three children, Patrick, Rosemary, and Tom. Having worked in business for many years, Joanne partnered with Chuck at C.L. Curry Funeral Home in 1997. She obtained her funeral director's license in 1999, has a B.A. and B.Ed. from St. F.X. University; and  a Diploma in Special Education from Acadia University.

Frank Cormier

Frank Cormier


 Frank Cormier is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, having joined C.L. Curry Funeral Home in 1988. Between 1988 and 1998 he also served the company as an EMT and Paramedic with Curry Brothers Ambulance Service. Born on a Canadian Military Base in 1963, Frank’s family returned to their native Antigonish (Williams Point) in 1971. Frank graduated Holland College, Summerside Campus in 1984. Together with his wife, Debbie, they raised 3 children: Nathan, Jenna, and Devin. Frank has been involved with many community organizations and parish committees and is currently most active in the Antigonish Lions Club.

Darcy J. DeLorey

Darcy J. DeLorey


Darcy is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Originally from Monastery, he now resides in Antigonish with his wife Alicia and their children Ellie and Jack. Before joining the staff of C.L. Curry Funeral Home in 2020, Darcy had a rewarding career as an Advanced Care Paramedic with EHS Nova Scotia, receiving the EHS Nova Scotia long-service award, the EMS Exemplary Service Medal and the Queens Jubilee Medal. A 2023 graduate of the NSCC Funeral and Allied Health Services program, he feels experiences from his paramedic career and connections made from being a lifelong member of the community are invaluable when helping those in times of need.

Charles L. Curry
President/Funeral Director


Charles L. "Chuck" Curry was born and raised in Glace Bay, NS. Chuck came to Antigonish in 1964 to manage the family owned Ambulance Service.   He opened Curry's Funeral Home on May 1, 1966. A third generation Funeral Director and Embalmer, Chuck dedicated his life to his profession, serving for many years on both Provincial and Federal Funeral Service Boards. He passed away September 24 2017. His presence is felt in all that we do.
